CONTEMPLAS TEMPLO is the new capture engine for Vicon Motus. TEMPLO supports all
state-of-the-art camera technologies, synchronized with force platforms, EMG and
general purpose A/D converters.
DV camcorders (legacy cameras)
Connection
DV camcorders are consumer video cameras connected with FireWire (IEEE-1394), but production of these ended several years ago.
Cable
FireWire cable length is limited to 10-20 m, cameras require their own power supply or batteries.

Resolution and frame rates
720*576 @ 25 fps (PAL, deinterlaced: 50 fps)
640*480 @ 30 fps (NTSC, deinterlaced: 60 fps)
Mobile systems
Notebook computers can typically handle 2-3 cameras.
Desktop systems
Modern computer systems can typically handle 6+ cameras.
FireWire camcorders are not recommended anymore, but you can still use your existing
cameras.
